The course was built in 1985, and was renovated in 2009. The greens are small but undulating and protected by sand bunkers. The most impressive part of the course is the outstanding condition that is maintained for its fairways and greens. The greens are rolled at a minimum of twice weekly, depending on the weather that week. It is a very walk-able course which is allowed after noon most days.
Events & Activities
Men and ladies both enjoy a wide variety of organized events. Ladies are welcome to join the 9-hole ladies’ group or the 18-hole ladies’ association. Men have several groups as well. The Wednesday men’s group is quite popular with a special competition with lunch afterward. Couples events are held monthly and headed by a different couple each month, choosing the game and meal to follow. Special golf events include member-members, member-guests, club championships, Quail Cup (Ryder Cup format), Night Golf, Charity tournaments, and a few Nine-and-Dines.
Susan G. Komen Golf Event
Quail Village Golf Club hosted the very first golf fundraiser for the SUSAN G. KOMEN FOUNDATION
in 1995. We recently held our 20th Anniversary Susan G. Komen Golf Event. Please enjoy this video highlighting this awesome day
Limiting the membership allows for extra play, unlike bundled communities. There are readily available tee times even with the organized play identified above. There is something for everyone.
Not many golf courses can boast of having a PGA professional who played on both the South African PGA tour and the Canadian PGA tour as their head pro, but Gary Kraft has done just that from 1986-1989. He and his associate, Chuck Lange, both give lessons and provides the best golfing experience possible to novices and more seasoned players alike. The friendliness of the pro shop staff and a fully stocked shop awaits all golfers.
